8th May 2015 – Sarah Newton is reelected as MP for Truro & Falmouth Parliamentary constituency

Sarah Newton triumphed at yesterday’s Truro and Falmouth parliamentary constituency election gaining 22,681 votes, polling 14,000 more votes than her nearest rival, Lib Dem candidate Simon Rix on a 70% turnout.

She says that her first action will be to tackle the crisis at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, and that she will make this a priority on Monday.

Sarah commented on the fantastic election result for the Conservatives. “It is clear to see people think that we have a really good plan in place for the country and are beginning to turn the country around. People want us to finish the job.”

Congratulations to Sarah and all her election team and helpers.
